Play safe
FlirtDice games are suggestions. You know your bodies and limits better than any dice. A few rules keep the fun fun.
Always
- Everyone is an adult, sober enough to decide, and wants to play.
- Any task can be skipped. Anyone can stop the game at any moment, no explanation needed.
- Talk about limits before you start, not in the middle.
Safe word and limits
- Agree on a safe word before you start. A common system: "yellow" means slow down, "red" means stop now.
- If someone can’t speak (gag, mouth busy), agree on a signal instead: dropping an object or tapping three times.
- Check in regularly. Silence is not a yes.
- Plan aftercare: water, a blanket, cuddling and a calm talk afterwards.
Anal play
- Use lots of lube and add more often. The body does not make its own lubrication there.
- Start small and go slowly. Pain means stop, not push through.
- Only use toys with a flared base. Anything without one can slip in and need a doctor to remove.
- Never go from anal to vaginal without washing the toy or changing the condom.
- Silicone lube can damage silicone toys: use water-based lube with them.
Strap-on
- Adjust the harness so it sits snugly and the toy doesn’t wobble: better control means less risk.
- The giver can’t feel what the receiver feels. Let the receiver set the depth and pace, and keep talking.
Restraints and rope
- Never put anything around the neck.
- Check hands and feet often: numbness, tingling, cold or blue skin means untie right away.
- Keep safety scissors within reach to cut rope fast.
- Never leave a tied-up person alone, not even for a minute.
Spanking and impact
- Hit only fleshy areas: the buttocks and the back of the thighs.
- Never hit the lower back (kidneys), spine, tailbone, joints, head or neck.
- Start light and build up. Keep watching your partner’s reactions.
Clamps
- Leave clamps on for 15 minutes at most.
- Taking them off hurts more than putting them on: remove them slowly, one at a time.
Wax and ice
- Only use low-temperature massage or soy candles, never ordinary household candles.
- Test wax on your own wrist first and pour from higher up to let it cool.
- Keep wax and ice away from the face and genitals, and keep ice moving instead of holding it on one spot.
Blindfolds
- Guide a blindfolded partner when they move. No sudden pain or surprises they didn’t agree to.
Edging and denial
- Edging is a game, not an endurance test. Stop if anything feels painful or uncomfortable.
- Punishments should be playful and agreed in advance.
Drinks
- Drink responsibly. Someone who is drunk can’t really consent, so stop the spicy part of the game if anyone has had too much.
This is general information, not medical advice. If something hurts after playing, bleeds, or a toy can’t be removed, see a doctor. They have seen it before.
